    Sc. 07 The lab

    Two dogs, one standard,
    infinite density.

Luna and Zeus, two yellow labradors, looking straight at the camera — Luna in front on the left, Zeus behind her on the right.
Still 07-A · on set, both looking at the camera, which is a first
    • as The Thunder God

      Zeus

      Always happy

The bigger one: broad blocky skull, square muzzle, paler cream. Approves of every build, every board and every person who has ever walked past the window. Head of morale, by acclamation.

    • as The Moon

      Luna

      Clever, and OCD about it

The finer one: narrower muzzle, warmer gold. She is appraising you right now, and she has notes. Head of continuity. Nothing ships until she has stopped looking at it like that.

Dingbat Labs is a small software lab that makes games for the pure joy of playing them. We engineer each one well past the point of reason, test it on real hardware until it stops surprising us, and then let it go — which is usually the hard part.

    Production notes

    1. 01Tested on real hardware, because simulators lie about frame time.
    2. 02Every board proved before a human sees it. The machine plays first.
    3. 03120 Hz where the screen allows. Anything less is a slideshow with ambitions.
    4. 04If it isn't fun by the third playtest it doesn't ship. Several didn't.
    5. 05Frame-dragging is a real effect. We do it to schedules.
